... This thing is weird.

Hey! Priest-guys, or whoever, what do you know about spirit-demon statues?

It's not like we're talking about an ancient library or a dirty river here. So it's not worth hitting back with some mad spirit action, right? I mean, this place doesn't even have a spirit world anyway.

... metal hail with her mind. Right.

I'll be writing a book at this rate.

[It's not Toph he doubts. He just finds this whole boat strange and hard to swallow.]

... hurt his arm? [He doesn't want to say anymore than that. But the burns and lost arm are the only injuries he knows Sokka has taken. DO NOT TELL HIM THERE ARE MORE.]

So which deck would that be?

Got it. And the Demon Statue you're talking about?

BLASHPHEMY!!!!

[Bread and milk, huh?]

And this seems like a good idea to you?

MADNESS? THIS IS

[Part of being a parent was telling a kid old proverbs that didn't make any sense.]

I don't suppose you've heard the saying about how curiosity killed the cat monkey, have you?

I ALREADY USED THE PUNCHLINE... SUBTLY

Well that's pretty much how it goes. A curious cat monkey dies tragically trying to satisfy his curiosity about a sleeping saber toothed moose lion.

[His mother told that story better.]

ACTUALLY I EDITED THEM OUT

Let's say for the sake of the story, yes.
